2/3 of the book

The Second Third of the Book!!!

Major Events so far in the book?

So far, quite a few things have happened. One of the main characters died. His name was Bobby Marsh and while Taking a breath leaning on a dog house because a zombie attack that just occurred, one of the missing family members from the house they were staying in popped out and attached to his leg. Sadly it was a walker and took a chomp out of bobby's Thigh. By the time they got to him, it was too late. He was bleeding out on the lawn and no one could save him from death or the zombie bite. They put a bullet in his head and buried him in the garden. Another major event that happens was that they went into Atlanta and found it was infested with zombies so they took cover in a local apartment with a family called the Chalmers which was a nice family of three. A father and two daughters which were both in there twenty's. The father, David, had lung cancer and needed oxygen tanks to assist his breathing. He sadly died when he ran out and Phillip Blake had to kill the zombified corpse that tried to get Tara, his daughter. After kicking them out, they needed to get out of the city. They got chased by a mob of zombies until they hit a motorcycle shop at which they decided to leave the city. They suited up and jumped on the motorcycles. half way out a half of a zombie latches onto Phillip and Penny Blake's bike. At the exit penny notices and freaks out and the zombie goes in for a chomp. Luckily, Phillip hears and takes a metal sphere that he grabbed Pearlie and skewers it into the zombies brain keeping them safe for a while. And that ends the second third

Symbols in the story?

Well i believe the zombies and survivors are really the only major symbols in this story although there are minor symbols. I thinks zombies are supposed to symbolize that the world has been destroyed and that there is an apocalyptic event occurring that won't just go away. The survivors, however, represent what i believe to be a light at the end of the tunnel. They are a hope for humanity, they are the worlds fighting chance. Some others are smaller. Like the bandits, they represent what i think is that even in times of need or hurt, people will still be cold, hurtful, and ruthless.

Themes in the story?

This book is loaded! From courage to fear, the story is driven on theme. It gives the story an atmosphere that may give the reader, in this case, me, a chill down the spine, make them sit on the edge of there seat, make them want to read the book. I know this happened to me. For example, one of the themes in this story is survival. It has lots of these aspects. An example of this is collecting supplies. They have to because no one is supplying them with weapons, they have to fend for them selves, keeping them selves fed, watered, and defended. What is this all wrapped into one? Survival. Another example in the story is of one of the main character's decisions. Nick had to chose between betraying his best friend or feeling guilt for what he was not doing. In this case, he betrayed his best friend and killed him because he was slaughtering random people and feeding it to his zombified daughter. He did it to stop the horendous events occurring.
